I have lived through a home invasion, and it is not an experience I would like to repeat.
We were held up for over 5 hours during which time the perpetrators beat us, threatened to kill us and our children and various other revolting threats.

- Check that the Aluminium window supplier is a credible company.
- Ask for References to confirm with previous customers that they were satisfied with the standard of work.
- Physically assess the windows and ensure that three key components are durable; the glass pane, clipped in beading and a wedge-shaped rubber gasket which locks the beading in place.
- Install proper Burglar Bars on Opening AND Fixed Windows. That way if the Burglar clips out the window he/she will find themselves still barricaded out of the home.
